Building a State of the Art Facility
The Atlantic Diving Team was founded in 1989 by Dr. Michele Mitchell a two-time Olympic silver medalist in the 1984 & 1988 Olympics for the USA. Since the Atlantic Diving Team was created back in 1989, we have been very proud of all our accomplishments over the years producing High School, University, National, International & Olympians divers.
After 28 years bouncing from one facility to another, we have settled down on our new location in Pompano Beach, FL. but the facility is lacking the training space to create our future champions. So, the Atlantic Diving Team and the Atlantic Diving Team Foundation a 501(c)(3) tax exempt, non-profit public charity organization is raising $35,000,000 to honor our founder and build the Michele Mitchell diving well & dryland, a state of the art facility to provide the best training for our athletes, local High School and visiting teams as well as to host clinics, summer camps, college winter training, local, national, and international competitions for our future champions and maybe Olympians.
The City of Pompano Beach is the ideal place to build the Michele Mitchell diving well & dryland, because we are less than 2 miles from the beach and there are a lot of activities, hotels, and restaurants in the area. The City Of Pompano Beach has the potential to have one of the best aquatic complex in South Florida and the world. It will also be the best facility to host clinics, summer camps, college winter training, local, national, and international competitions.
We hope that with your continued support and commitment the Atlantic Diving Team Foundation can provide the City of Pompano Beach the Michele Mitchell diving well & dryland and help us strives for greatness in the sport of springboard & platform diving.
